About the Role
This role focuses on end-to-end financial billing, transaction settlement, and accounting operations for JD International’s cross-border business entities. You will be responsible for high-volume transaction reconciliation, daily merchant/vendor settlements, month-end closing, and cross-departmental financial collaboration. The position plays a core part in ensuring standardized, accurate, and compliant financial operations for our overseas business, while actively driving billing process optimization and financial system automation.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End Transaction Settlement & Month-End Closing
- Manage full-cycle daily billing and settlement operations covering B2C/B2B revenues, cross-border logistics fees, and merchant payouts.
- Execute multi-dimensional data reconciliation among business systems, bank statements, and third-party payment gateways (PSPs).
- Lead month-end and year-end closing activities for settlement modules; verify the compliance and authenticity of original financial documents, ensuring consistency between ledgers and actual business data.
- Financial Reporting & Variance Analysis
- Prepare timely and accurate monthly billing reports, accounts receivable/payable (AR/AP) aging analysis, and financial statements for international business.
- Conduct financial variance analysis on transaction fees and settlement discrepancies, interpret performance fluctuations, and output professional insights to support management decision-making.
- Process Optimization & System Digitalization
- Identify pain points, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies in existing billing and settlement workflows, promoting automation, system iteration, and platform integration.
- Optimize financial SOPs and internal control frameworks to improve the integration capability of global financial systems and elevate cross-border operational efficiency.
- Audit Coordination & Compliance Management
- Coordinate fully with internal and external audit teams, providing complete supporting documents, settlement logs, and professional explanations during audit processes.
- Support overseas tax compliance matters (e.g., VAT/GST reconciliation) and ensure all settlement activities fully comply with local legal, tax, and regulatory requirements.
- Risk Control & Fund Security
- Continuously assess financial risks including inventory impairment, cross-border receivable defaults, PSP rolling reserves, and fund security.
- Establish proactive risk early-warning mechanisms and closed-loop remediation processes to safeguard the company’s overseas assets and ensure steady business operations.
- Cross-Functional & Global Collaboration
- Partner closely with overseas business units, operations, technical product teams, and local finance counterparts to support diversified settlement demands.
- Deliver accounting/settlement policy training, provide professional financial consultation for innovative business models, and achieve deep alignment between financial standardization and global business development.
Qualifications
- Education & Certifications: Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related majors. An overseas academic background or professional accounting qualification (ACCA / CPA / CMA, etc.) is highly preferred.
- Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of international accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP), overseas tax rules, and cross-border e-commerce/marketplace business models.
- Required Skills:
- Proficient in full-set accounting, high-volume data reconciliation, and financial reporting for multinational entities.
- Familiar with IFRS / local accounting regulations and cross-border financial compliance requirements.
- Strong capability in financial data analysis, data sensitivity, and logical thinking; advanced skills in Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Power Query) and mainstream ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Rigorous attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
- Fluent in written and verbal English for daily global business communication and cross-border collaboration.
- Preferred Skills:
- Prior working experience in cross-border e-commerce, international retail, clearing/settlement centers, or Fortune 500 multinational internet enterprises.
- Familiar with European or American market accounting, tax rules (e.g., EU VAT reform), and local financial management practices.
- Experience in automated billing system implementation, financial SOP building, or large-scale financial digitalization projects.
- Ability to independently handle multi-entity financial settlements and coordinate cross-regional financial matters.
- Fluency in an additional European language (e.g., German, French) is a strong plus.
