The Regional Health & Safety Manager is responsible for leading, implementing and maintaining effective health, safety and compliance systems across the distribution centres and associated transport operating locations. The role ensures that all logistics operations operate in full compliance with legal requirements and company standards while promoting a strong safety culture and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Health & Safety Leadership: Work with the Health and Safety Director to lead the health and safety strategy across the distribution centres and associated transport operating locations. Promote a proactive safety-first culture across all operations.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation and logistics regulatory requirements. Maintain and review health and safety policies, procedures and risk assessments.
- Risk Management: Identify operational risks within warehousing, yard operations, vehicle movements and transport activities. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
- Transport & Fleet Safety: Work closely with Transport teams to ensure compliance with transport safety standards and operator licence requirements.
- Training & Engagement: Develop and deliver health and safety training programmes. Support safety committees and employee engagement initiatives.
- Performance & Reporting: Monitor key safety metrics including incidents, near misses and audit findings. Produce regular health and safety performance reports for senior leadership.

- Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practice.

- NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum)
- NEBOSH Diploma / equivalent (desirable)
- Membership of IOSH (TechIOSH/GradIOSH or above desirable)
