We are looking for an experienced logistics professional to lead cost management and end-to-end solution design for cross-border logistics projects across Europe.
The role focuses on standard logistics cost management and customized solutions for non-standard shipments—including dangerous goods and break-bulk cargo—covering first-mile transportation, consolidation, customs clearance, and destination distribution.
Key Responsibilities
1. Standard Logistics Requirements and Cost Management
- Manage the collection, validation, communication, and regular updating of logistics costs across Europe, ensuring that all cost information is accurate, complete, and delivered on time.
- Continuously assess cost reasonableness and market price levels, while monitoring quotations, project costs, and gross margin performance.
- Analyze costs across transportation, warehousing, customs clearance, and delivery based on market trends, historical data, and project experience.
- Identify cost anomalies, operational inefficiencies, and optimization opportunities.
- Regularly evaluate logistics service providers based on capacity, resource coverage, pricing competitiveness, and service performance.
- Recommend improvements to the service provider pool and drive ongoing cost optimization.
- Collaborate with LBP, Procurement, Operations, Sales, and Finance teams to support project quotations, solution implementation, and business decisions.
2. Customized Cross-Border Logistics Solutions
Design, cost, and implement end-to-end cross-border logistics solutions for non-standard shipments, including dangerous goods and break-bulk cargo, based on cargo type, weight, destination, timeline, and compliance requirements.
- Segment A — First-Mile and Inbound Planning: Determine whether cargo should enter a general cargo warehouse or dangerous goods warehouse based on cargo characteristics, dangerous goods classification, shipping requirements, and warehouse capabilities. Coordinate with relevant teams to ensure successful inbound delivery.
- Segment B — Cargo Consolidation and LCL Planning: Review and classify cargo at European origin warehouses based on cargo attributes, destination, lead-time requirements, and cost targets. Independently design consolidation, loading, and transportation plans while managing project costs and expected gross margins.
- Segment C — Customs Documentation and Declaration Coordination: Submit customs clearance documents to the headquarters customs team and destination agents for advance review. Verify document completeness and consistency, identify missing or incorrect information, and coordinate with commercial teams or suppliers to complete corrections and customs declarations.
- Segment D — Destination Transportation and Distribution Planning: Design full-container, multi-stop direct delivery solutions based on cargo volume, destination, lead time, and cost requirements. For shipments requiring transshipment, develop deconsolidation, sorting, and delivery plans through destination warehouses, optimizing distribution routes by pallet and destination.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, or a related field.
- Relevant experience in cross-border logistics, international freight forwarding, or logistics solution design.
- Strong knowledge of European transportation, warehousing, customs clearance, and last-mile distribution.
- Experience with dangerous goods, break-bulk cargo, LCL consolidation, or other non-standard logistics projects is preferred.
- Strong capabilities in cost analysis, quotation management, solution design, and project implementation.
- Ability to coordinate independently with carriers, warehouses, customs brokers, logistics partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Strong English communication skills; proficiency in an additional European language is an advantage.
- Commercially minded, results-oriented, and effective at managing risks and solving complex operational issues.
- Europe-based — candidates across Europe are welcome to apply
