About Your Program

You’ll be joining the JD Young (JDY) Internship Program, designed to give early-career talent hands-on exposure to real projects, real responsibilities, and real growth. Over 3–6 months, you’ll work alongside experienced teams, build fundamental skills, and gain insights into how a global business operates.

Your 6 month internship will be within our international procurement team based in central London. During your internship you'll be responsible for:

  • Drive Strategic Supplier Partnerships: Build and manage a high-performing vendor portfolio, establish tiered evaluation frameworks, and ensure long-term supply chain stability.
  • Own End-to-End Execution: Lead quote evaluations, contract negotiations, and order tracking while stepping in to resolve complex vendor issues and ensure strict quality standards.
  • Deliver Smart Cost Optimisation: Analyse market trends and implement centralized purchasing strategies to optimize spend and achieve annual cost-saving targets.
  • Modernize & Automate Workflows: Eliminate operational friction by standardizing operating procedures and driving adoption of digital e-procurement platforms.
  • Partner Across Business Teams: Align closely with operational stakeholders to deliver tailored procurement solutions that directly support core business objectives.

About You

We're looking for a current student in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field, graduating in 2027. You'll fit right in if you:

  • Have a genuine willingness to learn, pick up new knowledge quickly, and aren't afraid to ask questions
  • Communicate clearly and build relationships easily
  • Are organised, proactive, and detail-oriented
  • Can work well both independently and in a team
  • Are comfortable with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
