About Your Program
You’ll be joining the JD Young (JDY) Internship Program, designed to give early-career talent hands-on exposure to real projects, real responsibilities, and real growth. Over 3–6 months, you’ll work alongside experienced teams, build fundamental skills, and gain insights into how a global business operates.
What You'll Do
- Support the category leader, manager and category buyers in day-to-day merchandising activities such as assortment planning, product selection, and inventory management.
- Assist in vendor communication, negotiation, and relationship management to ensure timely delivery of products and adherence to quality standards.
- Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and consumer trend analysis to identify emerging opportunities and threats in assigned product categories.
- Maintain accurate product data, pricing information, and inventory records in the merchandising system to facilitate effective decision-making and reporting.
- Help identify and correct errors in product descriptions, visuals or data.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to execute promotional campaigns and product launches.
- Assist in preparing presentations, reports, and analysis for category reviews, business meetings, and executive updates.
About You
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree/ Master's degree in Business, Marketing or related quantitative field. Preferably students in final semester, graduating in 2026.
- Relevant experience in retail, merchandising, or buying (through an internship or otherwise) is a plus.
- No more than 2 years of work experience.
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and online shopping trends is a plus.
- Basic analytical skills to interpret data and trends.
- Basic skills in Excel.
- Proficiency in Chinese and English is a must.
