Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive employee relations support, managing cases on performance, misconduct, absence, grievances, and disciplinary matters while balancing compliance with business needs.
- Advise and support managers on HR best practices, UK employment law, and JD.COM policies, ensuring consistent and fair people management across operational teams.
- Draft, review, and implement HR policies, contracts, and documentation aligned with UK employment law and JD.COM global standards.
- Lead and manage TUPE processes end-to-end, including due diligence, consultation, and post-transfer integration to ensure compliance and a seamless employee experience during acquisitions and outsourcing transitions.
- Support organisational change initiatives (restructuring, redundancies, consultations) with a focus on respectful communication and risk mitigation.
- Collaborate with European HR colleagues and business stakeholders to embed JD.COM’s culture, values, and operational excellence in the UK workforce.
- Provide insights to drive employee engagement and continuous improvement within a performance-driven culture.
- Manage relationships with external legal counsel as needed to support complex ER and TUPE matters.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Employment Law, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s or CIPD qualification is a plus).
- At least 5 years of experience in Employee Relations or HR Management within fast-paced, international environments, preferably in logistics, supply chain, or technology sectors.
- Proven experience leading and managing TUPE processes in the UK, including due diligence, consultation, and post-transfer integration.
- In-depth knowledge of UK employment law, HR best practices, and case management across a range of ER topics (grievances, disciplinary, performance, absence).
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage HR projects while balancing compliance with business objectives.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and build trust across all levels, including senior leadership and frontline managers.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with clarity, empathy, and cultural awareness.
- Comfortable working in a high-volume, operational environment with exposure to a frontline and blue-collar workforce.
- Able to thrive in an agile, growth-focused environment while managing multiple priorities effectively.
