Joy Logistics, part of JD.com, are opening a new warehouse in Bedford. You will play an integral part in creating an operating warehouse in a brand new location. This is a great opportunity to join a warehouse, where you can learn, develop and grow within the operation.

About the role:

The Warehouse Team Leader is responsible for supervising daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient workflow, accurate inventory handling, and high safety standards. This role provides direction to warehouse associates, supports training and development, and helps maintain a productive and positive working environment.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Lead, coordinate, and monitor the activities of warehouse staff.
  • Allocate tasks, set daily priorities, and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Oversee receiving, picking, packing, replenishment, loading, and dispatch operations.
  • Motivate and guide team members to achieve performance targets.
  • Train new employees on warehouse procedures, equipment, and safety standards.
  • Provide feedback, coaching, and participate in performance reviews.
  • Promote teamwork, communication, and a positive work culture.
  • Enforce health and safety policies and maintain a clean, hazard-free environment.
