Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the merchandising and assortment strategy for the home textiles category (e.g., bedding, pillows, duvets, curtains, blankets), focusing on non-standard products for the European market.
- Build and optimize the product structure, including price tiers, materials, styles, and functional positioning, to enhance competitiveness and conversion performance.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify product opportunities and provide insights to guide new product development and assortment planning.
- Work closely with sourcing and procurement teams to onboard high-quality suppliers and manufacturers, managing the end-to-end process from selection to product launch.
- Lead product definition, sampling follow-up, specification design, and go-to-market planning to ensure product-market fit.
- Optimize SKU structure and manage product lifecycle to improve sell-through rate and reduce overstock and inventory risk.
- Collaborate with operations and marketing teams to develop promotional strategies and drive performance of key and hero products.
- Leverage data analysis to continuously improve product performance, including GMV contribution, sell-through rate, and inventory health.
Requirements
- 3–7 years of experience in e-commerce or retail, preferably in merchandising, buying, or assortment planning roles.
- Experience in home textiles, home décor, or other lifestyle non-standard categories is highly preferred.
- Strong sensitivity to materials, design trends, and consumer behavior, with good aesthetic judgment.
- Understanding of supply chain and product development processes, able to manage end-to-end product lifecycle.
- Strong data analysis skills with the ability to optimize assortment decisions based on performance metrics.
- Fluent in English, able to communicate with overseas suppliers and cross-functional teams.
- Strong execution ability, adaptable to fast-paced environments, with both operational and strategic thinking.
