Key Responsibilities
- Define and develop the overall assortment and merchandising strategy for the furniture category (non-standard products), based on European market trends and consumer insights.
- Build and optimize product structure, including price tiers, style positioning, functionality, and specifications, to improve category competitiveness and conversion efficiency.
- Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify product opportunities and provide insights to guide new product development and sourcing direction.
- Work closely with sourcing and supply chain teams to onboard high-quality suppliers and factories, ensuring successful product execution from concept to launch.
- Manage the end-to-end new product development process, including product selection, sampling follow-up, product definition, and go-to-market planning.
- Optimize SKU structure and assortment performance, improving sell-through rate and reducing slow-moving or excess inventory.
- Collaborate with operations and marketing teams to define promotional strategies for key products and enhance performance of hero SKUs.
- Leverage data analysis to continuously improve product performance, driving GMV contribution, sell-through rate, and inventory health.
Requirements
- 3–7 years of experience in e-commerce or retail, preferably in merchandising, assortment planning, buying, or category-related roles.
- Experience in furniture, home décor, or other non-standard product categories is highly preferred.
- Strong sensitivity to product trends, assortment structure, and consumer behavior, with a good sense of aesthetics.
- Basic understanding of supply chain and product development lifecycle, from sourcing to launch.
- Strong data analysis skills, with the ability to optimize assortment decisions based on performance data.
- Fluent English, able to communicate with overseas suppliers and cross-functional teams.
- Strong execution ability, detail-oriented, with a balance of analytical and strategic thinking.
