The predicted salary is between 50000 - 60000 Β£ per year.

You will be responsible for architecture design, feature development and version iteration of our cross-border e-commerce Android application, covering core journeys such as product browsing, shopping transactions, payment settlement, user operations and push notifications. You will continuously optimise app performance, adapt to multiple device models and system versions, support localised operations in the UK and European markets, and ensure stable and efficient product operation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct requirement analysis, technical solution design, code development and quality assurance for the Android application.
  • Lead Android architecture optimisation, performance tuning, memory management and multi-device compatibility adaptation.
  • Integrate with backend service APIs, complete business joint debugging, and ensure stable network requests and secure data transmission.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve online issues such as crashes and lagging, to improve app stability and user experience.
  • Support European localisation needs, including multi-language, multi-currency and payment method adaptation, as well as Google Play compliant release.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline is preferred.
  • 2+ years of native Android development experience, with e-commerce or retail app development experience preferred.
  • Expertise in Kotlin/Java, and proficiency in development frameworks and components such as Jetpack and Android SDK.
  • Familiar with Android system principles, UI rendering and performance optimisation, with multi-device adaptation experience.
  • Familiar with Google Play release process and review guidelines, with understanding of Android security and compliance requirements.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English, able to collaborate cross-functionally as a working language.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Full-cycle R&D and launch experience of cross-border e-commerce or overseas e-commerce apps.
  • Familiar with Android hybrid development (Flutter/React Native), with cross-platform development practice.
  • Experience in integrating Google Pay, overseas third-party payment, FCM push and other systems.
  • Understanding of e-commerce business logic, with development experience in product, transaction, marketing and user system modules.
  • Experience in overseas team collaboration and international product R&D.
