Job Responsibilities:
- Route Planning: Create and optimize daily delivery routes for bulky items based on order volume, geography, and resource availability.
- Schedule Coordination: Align delivery appointments with customer availability and service constraints (e.g., 2-person delivery, installation slots).
- Carrier & Driver Coordination: Assign deliveries to internal and external transport partners and ensure all instructions are communicated clearly.
- Load Planning: Optimize truckloads to maximize vehicle utilization while respecting size/weight constraints and delivery priorities.
- System Management: Use TMS and WMS to track delivery status, assign routes, and update real-time changes.
- Exception Handling: Monitor delivery progress, resolve disruptions (e.g., failed deliveries, delays), and communicate proactively with customer service teams.
- Performance Monitoring: Track KPIs such as on-time delivery rate, failed delivery ratio, and average delivery cost.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify inefficiencies and collaborate with warehouse and transport teams to improve planning accuracy and delivery speed.
Job Requirements:
- 4+ years experience in transport, logistics planning, or distribution scheduling (bulky item or white-glove delivery is a strong plus).
- Solid understanding of route optimization and fleet scheduling principles.
- Experience with TMS/WMS tools (e.g., Transwide, SAP TM, ORTEC, Manhattan, etc.).
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills in English.
- Familiarity with last-mile delivery challenges, especially for large/fragile products.
