Category Manager – Computing
JD.com (NASDAQ: JD; HKEX: 9618), a leading global technology and service provider, seeks an ambitious Category Manager to support building its UK Consumer Electronics assortment, focusing on the Computing product assortment and delivering the best selection of items for UK consumers at the best price.
The role offers a unique opportunity to build and shape category strategies and contribute to the growth of a new and dynamic e-commerce business.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the end-to-end category management process within the Computing product assortment.
- Develop and nurture strategic partnerships with national and local supply partners.
- Analyse key metrics and range gaps to derive strategies to improve supplier and category performance.
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability.
- Assist in developing and executing comprehensive sales strategies, including pricing structures and promotional campaigns.
- Develop long-term category strategies fit for the local market to ensure customer acquisition, retention, and growth in key category KPIs.
- Collaborate cross‑departmentally with supply chain, app development, and marketing to deliver a best‑in‑class service to customers.
Qualifications
- Experience in procurement, merchandising, or buying within FMCG, with e-commerce experience in Consumer Electronics ideally.
- Strong understanding of consumers, market insights, and purchasing expertise.
- Exceptional analytical abilities, data sensitivity, and logical thinking.
