JD.com is offering internship opportunities to graduate students at our office located in Westminster, London. Key Responsibilities
- Support the category leader, manager and category buyers in day to-day merchandising activities such as assortment planning, product selection, and inventory management.
- Assist in vendor communication, negotiation, and relationship management to ensure timely delivery of products and adherence to quality standards.
- Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and consumer trend analysis to identify emerging opportunities and threats in assigned product categories.
- Maintain accurate product data, pricing information, and inventory records in the merchandising system to facilitate effective decision-making and reporting.
- Help identify and correct errors in product descriptions, visuals or data.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to execute promotional campaigns, product launches.
- Assist in preparing presentations, reports, and analysis for category reviews, business meetings, and executive updates.
- Develop skills in data analysis, communication, and organisation within a supportive environment.
- Participate in team activities to learn about product management and category operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor-level or Master-level student. You must currently be enrolled as a full-time university student at the time of applying.
- Relevant experience in retail, merchandising, or buying (through an internship or otherwise) is a plus.
- No more than 2 years of work experience.
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and online shopping trends is a plus.
- Basic analytical skills to interpret data and trends.
- Basic skills in Excel.
- Proficient in English.
