Big & Bulky team, reporting to Head of Big and Bulky (there’s an advantage to the plan being independent of the operational execution).

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the current (manual) delivery planning process, share best practice amongst the sites to achieve a consistent process.
  • Work with the functional line team (central experts) to develop and then implement a great delivery scheduling tool to deliver efficient routing, and meet the customer proposition. Ensure that the customer journey is considered and the delivery station operations.
  • Work with the functional line team (central experts) to develop an installations planning tool that will integrate with the delivery planning tool to allow efficient use of delivery and installations resources and a great customer experience.
  • Develop the process for capacity planning and resource deployment for the B&B network and measure actual vs plan.
  • If appropriate, develop a system solution.

Skills

  • Ability to engage the various parties involved in the process and to secure buy-in to consistently use best practice.
  • Ability to analyse the data to optimise the planning process.
  • Ability to assess the operability of the process and to support the operations team to execute.
  • Ability to migrate an operational process to be a system process and to be able to collaborate with the central team to execute.
  • Ability to find the right balance between putting the customer first and optimising for efficiency.

Relevant Experience / Qualifications

  • Operational background with project/process change.
  • Data analysis.
  • Experience of route/installation/capacity planning.
  • Experience of implementing new systems in an operational context.
