About the Role
JD.com are hiring an Assistant Delivery Station Manager for our Stratford operation to assist in leading on our last-mile delivery process. You will play a key role in ensuring that parcels move swiftly and accurately from our distribution network to our customers’ doorsteps.
As the Assistant Manager, you’ll manage shift teams of associates and delivery drivers, coordinate dispatch and inbound activity, monitor KPIs, and ensure safety, quality, and efficiency standards are met.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations at your assigned delivery station
- Supervise and co-ordinate a team of associates and drivers during shifts
- Monitor station performance metrics (parcel volume, dispatch accuracy, failed deliveries)
- Ensure timely sorting, loading, and dispatch of parcels
- Support driver check-in, briefings, and daily route readiness
- Identify and resolve operational issues in real-time
- Maintain high safety standards and ensure compliance with H&S regulations
- Communicate with the central delivery operations team and elevate as needed
- Contribute to a positive team culture focused on efficiency and accountability
Qualifications
- Experience in a logistics, warehouse, or delivery environment
- Previous team leadership or supervisory experience (shift/team leader level or above)
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, time-critical setting
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to problem-solve under pressure
- Flexibility to work shift patterns (morning, late, weekend rotation)

- Experience with handheld devices, routing software, or WMS
- Valid UK driving licence (optional, but helpful)
