About The Team: You’ll be joining the JINGDONG Logistics team, which values collaboration, ownership, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

The Head of Health and Safety is responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously improving the organisation’s risk management and internal control framework, with a strong focus on Health, Safety, and Compliance. The role ensures that operational, safety, and compliance risks are identified, assessed, controlled, and reported in line with legal requirements, industry standards, and organisational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain an enterprise-wide risk and control framework with specific emphasis on Health and Safety risks.
  • Identify, assess, and prioritise operational, safety, and compliance risks across the organisation.
  • Lead the development and oversight of Health and Safety risk management processes in line with applicable legislation and standards (e.g. ISO 45001).
  • Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety laws, regulations, and codes of practice.
  • Oversee hazard identification, risk assessments, and control effectiveness reviews.
  • Conduct regular control testing, audits, and assurance activities related to Health and Safety and operational risk.
  • Track control effectiveness and remediation actions, escalating issues where required.
  • Partner with operational leaders, Health and Safety teams, and compliance functions to embed risk-aware and safety-first practices.
  • Provide guidance and training to managers and staff on risk management, controls, and Health and Safety responsibilities.
  • Review and enhance risk and control processes based on incidents, audit findings, and performance metrics.
  • Support business change initiatives by assessing Health and Safety and operational risks and recommending appropriate controls.
Skills & Experience:
  • Proven experience in risk management, internal controls, or assurance roles with a strong Health and Safety focus.
  • Experience developing and maintaining compliance and risk registers, control frameworks, and incident management processes.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and communicate risk clearly at all levels of the organisation.
Desirable:
  • Professional qualifications in Risk Management, Health & Safety, Audit, or Compliance (e.g. NEBOSH, ISO 45001, IRM).
  • Experience working in regulated or high-risk environments.
  • Familiarity with enterprise risk management systems and safety management systems.
