International Tax Director in London

We are looking for an experienced international tax professional to manage tax matters across Europe, the Americas and the Middle East, covering investment and M&A transactions, day-to-day tax management and tax compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead tax support for investments, acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures and other M&A transactions, including tax structuring, due diligence, financing, transaction taxes and review of tax provisions in transaction documents.
• Provide tax advice on day-to-day business operations, commercial arrangements, contracts, new market entry and cross-border activities.
• Oversee local tax compliance, including corporate income tax, VAT/GST, withholding tax and other key filing obligations, working with internal teams and external advisors.
• Monitor material tax developments, manage tax risks and support tax audits or tax authority enquiries.
• Coordinate local tax advisors and translate technical tax advice into clear and practical recommendations for business stakeholders.
• Support continuous improvement of tax processes, controls and internal tax guidance.

Candidate Profile

• 7–10 years of relevant tax experience, with a minimum of 7 years required, gained in a Big Four firm, multinational group, investment platform, law firm or similar environment.
• Strong experience in international tax and M&A / transaction tax, together with solid knowledge of corporate income tax, withholding tax and VAT/GST.
• Real estate transaction experience is highly preferred, particularly acquisitions, disposals, holding structures, financing and transaction taxes.
• Experience managing tax matters across multiple jurisdictions and coordinating external advisors.
• Strong business partnering, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong written and spoken English.
