What You’ll Do
We’re looking for a Business Analyst – Marketplace to act as both the architect of our data foundation and the driver of strategic insights. In this role, you will own the development of scalable reporting systems that establish a single source of truth, while conducting deep analytical investigations to uncover the drivers behind performance trends. Your insights will directly influence marketplace liquidity, seller and buyer behavior, and overall platform growth. You will also play a key role in forecasting, planning, and shaping marketplace strategy.
- Define, standardize, and monitor core marketplace metrics such as GMV, Take Rate, LTV, and CAC
- Build and scale automated dashboards and reporting pipelines (SQL, Power BI/Tableau) to enable real-time decision-making
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across new categories, geographies, and product launches
- Design and analyze A/B tests for marketplace features, such as fee structures, incentive programs, UI/UX, services, tools iteration to measure incremental impact.
- Analyze the end-to-end customer journey to identify drop-off points and conversion opportunities
- Segment buyers and sellers to identify high-value behaviors and scale "power user" patterns
- Evaluate the financial impact of pricing levers (discounts, shipping incentives, seller fees) on profitability
- Investigate performance anomalies, identify root causes, and present clear, actionable recommendations to leadership
- Partner cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, and Operations to translate complex data into business actions
- Conduct competitive benchmarking to inform pricing, positioning, and marketplace strategy
About You
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Data Analytics, or a related quantitative field
- 2-5 years of experience in marketplace, eCommerce, or data/business analytics roles
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Excel, and BI tools (Power BI or Tableau), Python R, cloud warehousing
- Proven ability to translate data into measurable business impact
- Highly structured thinker with strong problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills
- Comfortable working in cross-functional and international environments
