We’re working with a boutique UK-based bank seeking a senior finance leader to oversee its Finance and Treasury function. This is a high-impact, SMF-designated role ideal for professionals with a strong grasp of financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and treasury operations. You will lead a small team, ensure robust financial governance, and contribute to the bank’s strategic planning. This role suits someone with broad exposure to UK regulatory reporting and ALM. A hands-on, agile approach in a small banking environment is essential.

  • Lead financial reporting, budgeting, and annual accounts in line with UK GAAP/IFRS
  • Oversee all regulatory returns including COREP, FINREP, and PRA/FCA reports
  • Manage capital planning and own ICAAP, ILAAP, and Recovery Plan submissions
  • Provide strategic oversight of treasury and liquidity management activities
  • Act as secretary to ALCO and contribute to Board-level risk discussions
  • Maintain effective internal controls and lead external audit coordination
  • Develop and manage the Finance team, fostering continuous improvement

Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with strong technical skills. Treasury/ALM experience; Proven leadership in a finance function within banking or financial services. Familiarity with capital adequacy, liquidity frameworks, and stress testing.
