We are working exclusively with a highly regarded investment management firm based in London to appoint a Legal Counsel to join their Wealth Planning function. This is a newly created position, offering an excellent opportunity for a qualified lawyer to bring their expertise in private client matters into a dynamic, client-focused financial services environment.
The Role
As Legal Counsel, you will play a key role in supporting the firm’s Wealth Planning team, providing expert legal guidance across a range of matters including:
- Advising on estate and succession planning strategies.
- Supporting clients and internal teams with inheritance tax planning.
- Reviewing and advising on complex legal documentation.
- Acting as an internal subject matter expert on private client issues.
- Working closely with wealth planners, investment managers, and external advisers to deliver holistic solutions to clients.
The Candidate
We are seeking a qualified lawyer (England & Wales or equivalent) with a strong background in private client law. The ideal profile will include:
- Qualified Lawyer with experience in external practice dealing with Private Clients (HNW/UHNW)
- Experience in estate planning, succession planning, or inheritance tax.
- Strong technical knowledge combined with commercial awareness and the ability to communicate effectively with non-legal stakeholders.
- A collaborative mindset and genuine interest in wealth management and financial planning.
