The Team
Our Transaction Services division is a dynamic and fast-growing team of approximately 500 professionals across the UK. The practice is deeply embedded in the wider advisory function and plays a pivotal role in supporting clients through the full transaction lifecycle.
Within the team, our dedicated Technology, Media & Telecoms (TMT) group supports both corporate and private equity clients on a range of engagements, including buy-side and sell-side due diligence, IPO readiness, refinancing, and strategic reviews.
This is a multi-disciplinary, collaborative environment where team members work closely with colleagues across corporate finance, tax, strategy, audit, and broader advisory services—bringing together commercial insight and analytical rigour to help clients navigate complex deals and make informed decisions.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced Director-level Transaction Services professional to help drive the continued growth of our TMT offering. You will lead high-impact projects, build lasting client relationships, and contribute to shaping the future of the team.
Ideal candidates will bring
- A strong track record in the TMT sector, particularly on large or complex transactions;
- A network of senior contacts across the technology, software, and media landscape, including links to investment banks, sector specialists, and deal intermediaries;
- A proactive, self-starting mindset with the confidence to operate autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Engagement Leadership: Overseeing multiple transaction engagements, often in fast-moving and ambiguous environments, ensuring high-quality delivery and client satisfaction.
- Business Development: Building, maintaining, and commercialising strong relationships with clients—especially within the TMT sector—and contributing to key account strategies.
- Client Relationship Management: Acting as the primary contact for senior stakeholders, leading on major client relationships and sector initiatives.
- Risk & Quality: Upholding risk management procedures and ensuring robust compliance across engagements.
- Team Development: Mentoring and supporting colleagues, from recruitment and onboarding to ongoing coaching and skills development.
- Personal Development & Leadership: Contributing to the broader growth and culture of the team, acting as a role model for junior colleagues, and demonstrating a commitment to inclusion, integrity, and collaboration.
- Performance Management: Providing feedback and guidance to team members, helping to shape future leaders within the practice.
About You
We are seeking a commercially-minded leader with the following profile:
- Strong academic background; ACA (or equivalent) qualification is highly desirable
- Significant experience in financial due diligence and transactional advisory work
- A clear understanding of the TMT sector, and ability to engage credibly with senior executives
- Proven success in originating and converting new business opportunities
- A collaborative leadership style and experience managing multidisciplinary teams
- High emotional intelligence and the ability to thrive under pressure
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including confident presentation delivery
