Our client, a leading US-based, Global Investment & Wealth management firm, is seeking a Wealth Planning Associate to join its London office. The London team supports clients in the UK and across the EMEA region, guiding succession planning, taxation, pensions, and related legal matters. This is a client-facing role that involves working closely with Senior Wealth Planners and Investment Advisors to deliver tailored, sophisticated solutions to a distinguished client base. You will contribute to research, preparation of client deliverables, development of educational resources, and the ongoing management of client relationships.

Key Responsibilities
Client and Team Support
- Prepare inheritance tax and lifetime taxation calculations, along with planning scenarios to support client decision-making.
- Review and summarise key features of client documents (e.g., wills, trusts, powers of attorney, tax returns) and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Draft actionable wealth planning strategies and client-ready documentation.
- Track and coordinate follow-up items from client meetings in partnership with Investment Advisors.
- Build and maintain cash flow models to illustrate long-term planning scenarios.
Research and Knowledge Development
- Research technical subjects related to estate, tax, and succession planning.
- Contribute to the creation and updating of country-specific planning overviews across EMEA.
- Conduct preliminary research on client-specific planning questions and summarise findings.
- Support the creation of client education materials such as guides, presentations, and visual tools.
- Assist in assessing new software tools and documenting internal processes.
- Monitor industry updates, highlighting relevant developments to the wider team.
Collaboration with External Professionals
- Work with external advisers, including lawyers and accountants, to ensure high-quality client outcomes.
- Maintain an updated directory of trusted professional contacts across EMEA.
- Support outreach initiatives to strengthen the teamβs referral network.
Candidate Profile
- A law degree and a qualification to practice in the UK.
- 2β3 years of client-facing experience in wealth planning or private client law.
- Strong knowledge of estate planning, taxation, pensions, and financial planning principles.
- Experience advising US-connected clients is beneficial.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to interpret complex legal and financial documents.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of simplifying technical material for clients.
- Professional, discreet, and client-focused approach.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with cash flow planning tools or willingness to learn.
