We are looking for an Accountant to join our busy Accounts Centre team in Leeds. The role is responsible for the delivery of accurate financial reporting to strict deadlines and the provision of financial guidance to operational colleagues throughout the dealerships. Your day to day will include:
- To advise HOB and senior managers on the financial policies of JCT600 Ltd and ensure adherence to them.
- To advise the HOB as necessary in the financial affairs of the business by providing professional expertise.
- To provide regular, accurate and meaningful financial accounts and other daily/weekly/period reports to Head Office, General Manager and senior managers as required.
- To oversee and control the dealership's borrowings, cash flow and liquidity, briefing the General Manager daily.
- To monitor financial performance and produce Key Performance Indicators for all departments.
- To advise Departmental Managers on financial performance, margins, costs and overheads, comparing actual to plan.
- To ensure optimum cash operating cycle by careful control of creditors, debtors and stock.
- To ensure proper and safe custody of all cash and convertible securities on premises and in transit in line with Group policy.
- To ensure relevant employees are informed of the current group cash handling procedures.
- To ensure that all confidential and sensitive records are stored and used within the requirements of the Data Protection Acts.
What we are looking for:
- Qualified or Part Qualified CIMA/ACCA Accountant
- Ability to effectively communicate with colleagues outside of the financial environment.
- Great knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Motor trade experience would be an advantage but is not essential.
- Ability to take responsibility and ownership of work.
- Proven track record on delivering high quality management reporting to a strict timetable.
