Main duties of this role -
- Clearing rubbish, weeds, brush and debris on a company’s grounds
- Cleaning entrances, path and roadways
- Watering all flowers and plants on the grounds
- Weeding, trimming, and mulching plants using gardening tools
- Cleaning the company’s grounds by removing rubbish and litter daily
- Taking care of all groundskeeping supplies, tools and inventory
- Ensuring the grounds are clean, safe and usable by guest and visitors
- Removing dirt on sidewalks pavements and driveways
- Taking on special landscaping or planting projects as deemed necessary
- Ensuring that the grounds are monitored and kept clean, safe and usable for customers and visitors arriving on site
- Ensuring that the customer entrance & car parking areas are maintained to a high standard, creating an excellent first impression
In addition to the above, this role also requires you to have the following:
- Work under own initiative and self-motivated
- In-depth understanding of grounds maintenance and upkeep needs
- Ability to maintain a clean and functional workspace
- Ability to lift or move heavy equipment
- Organisation skills and ability to multitask
- Ability to work well with others
- Ability to work under minimal supervision
- Ability to use lawn mowers and power tools and a strong understanding of water systems
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
