Responsibilities
The Service Technician Apprentice role is a three-year programme in which you will be involved in all aspects of maintenance and repair, from routine servicing to complex diagnostics and repairs. Initially you will shadow a qualified technician, learning modern technology in all aspects of vehicle service and repair, until you gain the confidence to work alone. Once ready, you will carry out servicing and repairs on a wide variety of vehicles. You will receive block training at the purpose-built training academy, complemented by Virtual Classroom sessions and E-Learning modules, supported through all parts of the apprenticeship programme via practical work experience and assessments. On successful completion, you will receive a Level 3 Service and Maintenance Light Vehicle Technician qualification.
Qualifications
To qualify, you must have or be working towards GCSE grade 4–9 in Maths, English, and a science-related subject. Conditional offers may be made on the provision that these grades are achieved by the summer of 2026, ready for an August/September start.
