JCT600 ARC Bradford is looking for an experienced Mechanical, Electrical and Trim (MET) Technician to join our accident repair center team. JCT600 ARC Bradford is a leading repairer, trusted by insurers, manufacturers and drivers across the UK. Our Bodyshop combines manufacturer-approved repair methods, modern equipment, and a strong focus on quality, safety and customer care.
Responsibilities
- Stripping and refitting mechanical, electrical and trim components on damaged vehicles in line with job card instructions
- Checking parts against the job card during strip and reporting any additional parts or damage to the Workshop Controller
- Carrying out mechanical and electrical repairs in line with manufacturer repair methods
- Accurately diagnosing faults and identifying any hidden damage
- Performing wheel alignment, geometry, suspension and steering checks and adjustments
- Completing quality check sheets at each stage of the repair process
- Recording work carried out on job cards and updating systems accurately
- Air‑con re‑gas and ADAS calibration preparation where trained to do so
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an MET Technician or Vehicle Technician in a bodyshop or accident repair environment
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification or experience in light vehicle maintenance, repair or accident repair
- Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills
- Ability to interpret repair methods, technical data and bodyshop job cards
- High attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Full, clean UK driving licence
- Your own tool set
Desirable
- ATA/IMI MET accreditation, or actively working towards it
- Air conditioning certification (or equivalent meeting EC 307/2008 requirements)
- EV/HEV component removal and replacement qualification
- Four wheel alignment certification
