What do you need to know?

The Service Technician Apprentice role is a three‑year programme in which you will be involved in all aspects of maintenance and repair, from routine servicing to complex diagnostics and repairs to our customers’ vehicles. Initially you will shadow a qualified technician learning how to use modern technology in all aspects of vehicle service and repair until you gain the ability and confidence to work alone. Once you are ready, you will then be expected to carry out servicing and repairs on a wide variety of vehicles. You will receive block training at the purpose‑built training academy in Milton Keynes. This will be complemented by a combination of Virtual Classroom sessions and e‑Learning modules, underpinned and supported through every part of the apprenticeship programme via practical work experience and assessments. On successful completion of the programme, you will receive a Level 3 Service and Maintenance Light Vehicle Technician qualification.

To qualify for the Technician Apprentice programme, you must have gained or be working towards GCSE grade 4‑9 in Maths, English and a science related subject. Should you not have already obtained these grades, then conditional offers will be made on the provision that these go on to be achieved in the summer of 2026 ready for an August/September start.
