As an Assistant Accountant working within our Volume Division Accounting Centre, you will ensure the accurate processing, recording and completion of all accounts information as required.

Your day to day will include:

  • Ensuring that all accounting and administrative tasks within the area of responsibility are carried out in line with company procedures.
  • Ensuring accurate and complete processing in all accounts matters, with 100% complete and accurate data collection.
  • Preparing regular reports as required by Group (e.g. Debtor Reports, Payroll submission etc).
  • Completing on-time basis the manufacturer’s monthly composite and assisting in the submission of other relevant information to the manufacturer.
  • Completing the monthly submission of the dealership payroll.
  • Maintaining appropriate payment procedures operated within agreed timescales.

What we are looking for:

  • High levels of numeracy and literacy at a clerical level is essential.
  • An accountancy qualification or working towards one.
  • A detailed understanding of accounting information such as invoices, credit notes, payment methods, receipts and payment advice notes is desirable.
  • Knowledge and understanding of VAT and associated documentation is desirable.
  • Motivated by working to targets and under pressure.
