Load and unload goods, often requiring heavy lifting, with care and attention to safety protocols. Ensure accurate documentation of deliveries, including receipts and delivery notes. Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules or issues. Maintain the cleanliness and basic maintenance of the vehicle, reporting any mechanical concerns promptly. Follow health and safety guidelines at all times during loading, unloading, and driving activities. Skills Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role within commercial driving environments. Valid drivers licence with a clean driving record. Experience in warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently. Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan routes effectively. Excellent communication skills for liaising with customers and team members. Good knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations relevant to commercial driving. Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage time effectively during busy periods.
