Primary Responsibilities:
- Supports Shrinkage and Safety Awareness programs: Assists Store Management in communicating current shrinkage and safety topics.
- Conducts surveillance: Monitors customer and contractor activities via CCTV and floor observations to detect theft, fraud, or suspicious activity.
- Collects investigative intelligence related to ORC activity and fraud, follows directions from AP management to observe team members as needed, and reports policy infractions to AP or store management.
- Detains and interviews suspects: Conducts interviews with customers and contractors suspected of theft in accordance with local laws and company policies.
- Reports suspected fraud to AP management or Market Investigations.
- Maintains records: Creates and manages records using approved company methods, properly retains evidence, and handles the disposition of recovered merchandise.
- Participates in court hearings: Attends hearings, updates relevant files, and maintains relationships with local law enforcement.
- Supports Safety programs: Identifies and addresses potential hazards to customers and associates, takes initiative to correct minor hazards, conducts incident investigations, and completes related reports.
- Supports internal investigations: Assists AP management in collecting evidence and acts as an interview witness as needed.
- Performs responsibilities in accordance with company policies and procedures to drive sales and profit.
