We are looking for an experienced and motivated People & Culture Manager to join us and play a key role in supporting the continued success and growth of JCP. You will be someone who understands the wider impact of your role on the success of the business. You will be commercially aware, proactive in your thinking and motivated to contribute to the company’s continued growth. The Role
The People & Culture Manager will lead the people function across the business and will sit as part of the Business Support Leadership Team, contributing to day-to-day business decisions. You will manage and support a People & Culture Advisor and People & Culture Administrator, ensuring the delivery of an efficient, proactive and supportive HR service across all offices. This role requires someone who is operationally strong whilst also able to think strategically, build relationships across the business and champion engagement, wellbeing and culture. You will be based in Swansea but will be expected to travel to other offices when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the full colleague lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, development and exits
- Supporting managers with people-related matters and providing commercially focused HR guidance
- Managing recruitment, interviews and talent attraction initiatives
- Driving onboarding and induction processes to ensure excellent team member experiences
- Leading employee engagement initiatives, wellbeing activities and people-focused events
- Managing HR systems, reporting and people data, ensuring accuracy, compliance and continuous improvement
- Supporting learning and development initiatives and career progression opportunities
- Managing leave processes including annual leave, family leave and other absences
- Reviewing, developing and implementing HR policies and procedures
- Leading and supporting People projects and business change initiatives
- Leading and supporting all employee relations matters
- Supporting diversity, inclusion and positive workplace culture initiatives
- Ensuring compliance with employment legislation and HR best practice
- Working collaboratively with leaders across the business to support high-performing teams
- Contributing to wider business objectives as part of the Management Team
- Overseeing payroll delivery in partnership with an external provider, ensuring accuracy, compliance with statutory requirements, and effective resolution of queries
- Managing employee benefits provision, including scheme administration, provider relationships, and clear communication to team members.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience in a generalist HR management role
- Is CIPD qualified
- Has experience managing and mentoring HR team members
- Is confident handling a wide range of employee relations matters
- Has strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practice
- Is approachable, pragmatic and solutions-focused
- Builds strong relationships and communicates effectively at all levels
- Is highly organised with excellent attention to detail
