As a placement year student at JCDecaux UK, you will gain industry experience working in three key departments within the business: Partnerships & Development, Commercial and Operations. During your time with each department, through direct involvement you will provide support & assistance to multiple stakeholders across our business in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
What you'll be doing...
- Partnerships & Development
- Ensuring maximum responsiveness to client queries via phone, email and face to face meetings on site across the North, Midland & Scotland regions.
- Supporting Partnership Manager on negotiations with landlords to achieve buy-in for business development proposals and secure sites through to contract completion.
- Supporting Partnership Manager on day to day contract management across multiple key, high-profile partnerships held across both the public & private sector.
- Working with the Planning to identify and complete surveys and planning pro forma’s prior to planning application.
- Liaising with the Estates team to help ensure the accuracy of inventory, performance and sales records.
- Supporting with the approval process for new locations including carrying out detailed site surveys and respective documentation.
- Visiting sites across the North & Midland region to undertake detailed site surveys, take photos and ensure site is presentable at all times as well as handle any issues as and when they arise.
- Supporting with the preparation of materials and presentations for meetings, ensuring excellent quality, accuracy and attention to detail.
- Commercial
- Sharing photography internally to help the team with external conversation starters, sharing good work.
- Collating industry news, including competitor news, account moves, category updates & programmatic.
- Providing rapid response to enquiries and requests from customers – playout reports / photography requests / competitor information.
- Shadowing on site tours where applicable, demonstrating knowledge of environments and formats.
- Co-ordinating and sharing information between agency and specialist team.
- Accessing Self Serve Hub and downloading any requested insight and/or data.
- Collating and sharing seasonal sales opportunities and identifying clients.
- Operations & Projects
- Shadowing Administration, inputting electronic documents into our Utilities systems.
- Generating Assets reports from our Business Objects system with support from our Data Analyst team.
- Collating advertising poster performance for each In Charge period.
- Shadowing on site tours where applicable, demonstrating knowledge of environments and formats.
- Stock ordering through SOP for field staff materials and tools.
- Responding to Operational queries from External and Internal resources, working alongside the team on resolving any issues.
- Shadowing colleagues on the methods and processes of requesting Emergency Disconnections to assets (Communicate with regional Electrical Companies).
- Shadowing the processes of stock taking and inputting the data into our systems.

- Must hold a clean, UK driving licence. Having a car is ideal due to regional territory covered.
