The Health, Safety and Environment Advisor is responsible for helping to drive forward effective health, safety & environmental (HSE) processes and systems in London and the South East.
What you'll be doing
- Implementing health, safety and environmental policies and procedures on site, ensuring compliance and keeping updated with key changes to legislation.
- Engaging with managers, ensuring responsibilities are clear and answering technical health, safety and environmental related enquiries.
- Conducting audits, inspections, and accident investigations. Constantly seeking areas for improvement and development in health and safety performance.
- Engaging with the client and other external stakeholders, acting as a key point of contact.
Technical
- Undertake site audits, inspections, risk assessments and method statements.
- Attend design, client and site meetings to give advice and discuss HSE.
- Have a strong safety presence on projects.
- Provide support, guidance and advice on all HSE matters.
A little bit about you
- Proven experience in a similar role ideally within a construction or facilities setting, or a related industry.
- NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent level 3 qualification.
- Experience/knowledge of the ISO management systems.
- Strong communication skills with experience engaging colleagues at all levels.
