As an Account Manager, Programmatic Demand at JCDecaux, you’ll help our demand-side platform (DSP) partners make the most of programmatic digital out of home (pDOOH). DSPs are the platforms advertisers and agencies use to buy advertising programmatically. You’ll help their teams understand where DOOH fits within a wider media campaign and how JCDecaux’s media, data, creative and measurement capabilities can support their clients’ objectives.
This role is highly suited to somebody with existing programmatic experience and ideally experience within the world of OOH. Working closely with the Head of Programmatic Demand and the wider team, you’ll apply your programmatic planning experience to partner briefs, campaign recommendations and account conversations. You’ll take responsibility for day-to-day account activity, building towards greater ownership of partner meetings and commercial opportunities, with support on account planning and more complex negotiations.
Your focus will be to turn campaign knowledge and insight into relevant recommendations, provide a responsive partner service and help grow investment with JCDecaux. You’ll build your experience in relationship management, presenting, pipeline development and commercial conversations with guidance from the team.
What you'll be doing...
- Build positive day-to-day relationships with DSP partners, responding promptly to enquiries and following through on agreed actions.
- Help prepare and deliver partner meetings, presentations and education sessions that explain the role of pDOOH within the media mix.
- Support account plans by researching partners and their clients, identifying opportunities and coordinating follow-up activity with senior colleagues.
- Contribute to agreed revenue targets by tracking account activity, keeping pipeline and CRM records up to date, and supporting accurate DSP revenue forecasts.
- Use campaign reporting and planning insight to prepare quarterly business reviews and post-campaign analysis, turning results into clear recommendations for repeat bookings and future campaigns.
- Bring a ‘Test & Learn’ approach: help partners explore new campaign approaches, capture what we learn and share useful findings.
- Use your planning or account management experience to translate partner briefs into relevant campaign recommendations and proposals, working with planning and demand colleagues to progress opportunities and coordinate a clear handover into delivery.
- Build on your knowledge of programmatic strategy to explain JCDecaux’s media, audience, data, creative and measurement opportunities in a clear, commercially relevant way.
- Stay curious about developments in media and advertising technology, building your understanding of how the programmatic buying ecosystem works.
Working as One Team
- Act as a link between demand and planning colleagues, making sure partner objectives are clearly understood and recommendations reflect delivery requirements.
- Keep teammates informed of account developments, sharing opportunities and flagging issues early so they can be resolved together.
- Contribute ideas, share useful information and take responsibility for your agreed actions.
- Ask questions, seek feedback and share what you learn to help improve how we work.
- Support the Head of Programmatic Demand and your teammates with partner engagement, education and inspiration activity.
Communication & Relationship Skills
- Be comfortable contributing to meetings and developing your presentation skills, with support from the team.
- Communicate clearly in writing and conversation, turning information into straightforward, relevant messages.
- Listen carefully, ask useful questions and build positive relationships with partners and colleagues.
Your Approach
- Be organised and proactive, prioritising tasks and setting clear expectations on delivery.
- Take ownership of day-to-day tasks, knowing when to ask for guidance or involve a colleague.
- Show curiosity and initiative, suggesting practical ways to solve problems or improve the partner experience.
- Pay attention to detail, checking figures, presentations and account information before sharing them.
- Develop your commercial understanding, connecting partners’ objectives with relevant JCDecaux opportunities.
- Follow through on commitments and flag competing priorities early so the team can help keep work on track.
A little bit about you...
- Experience in programmatic planning and strategy, including responding to briefs, preparing campaign recommendations and coordinating with colleagues. Previous sales or account management experience is not essential.
- Working knowledge of programmatic DOOH planning and the role of DSPs, with an interest in applying that knowledge to partner relationships and commercial growth.
- Confidence using Excel and PowerPoint, or equivalent tools, to organise information, work with numbers and prepare clear presentations.
- Experience using a CRM system is useful, but not essential; accuracy and a willingness to learn new tools matter more.
- A collaborative approach, with examples of supporting colleagues or contributing to a shared goal.
- The ability to manage several tasks, meet agreed deadlines and communicate when priorities need to change.
