As part of the Business Growth department you will lead the performance of JCDecaux’s independent media agency team, building quality relationships that generate demand into OOH and JCDecaux.

Reports into: Head of Commercial

What you\’ll be doing…

Team Management

  • You will lead and empower an experienced team to deliver tailored knowledge-share programmes which demonstrate an understanding of marketing objectives to ultimately drive demand into OOH.
  • You will support and motivate the team, developing the roles and responsibilities of individuals by setting S.M.A.R.T goals and addressing training needs. Foster a team culture that delivers collaboration, innovation, creativity, and personal accountability across the team.
  • Create a feedback culture to promote best practice and desired behavior’s.
  • Manage the recruitment, development, and performance of team members.
  • Where required recruit Business Growth Managers across the UK.
  • Ensuring that the team achieves weekly, monthly and annual KPIs and targets.
  • Develop and run tailored training programmes to give all Business Growth team members the knowledge and skills to optimally and efficiently use our smart systems.

Revenue Generation

  • You have responsibility for delivering your personal revenue target
  • Ensure effective trading across Business Growth team revenue, working closely with the Trading team to achieve the best possible yields, in line with trading policy; Proactively take a lead in identifying short term revenue opportunities, particularly for digital and programmatic inventory.
  • Ensure the appropriate allocation of clients to team members, in order to improve efficiencies and achieve the maximum revenue potential from each client i.e. allocation to telesales function vs Business Growth manager.
  • Effectively use our data resources to identify when sales focus pivot is required to drive revenue into underperforming channels; equip the Business Growth team with the appropriate collateral and rate structure to achieve this.
  • Lead sourcing and database sourcing to identify potential additional revenue opportunities; develop and drive these potential revenue streams e.g. from relationships with regional Chambers of Commerce.

A confident relationship builder and networker at all levels of business, confident in attending events, conferences and creating opportunities through thought leadership
  • Numerate, and with consistent record in understanding the nuances of the OOH / Digital trading landscape
  • Technically literate, and able to learn and adapt to new systems quickly
  • An innovative, forward-looking and creative thinker
  • Able to translate problem solving into revenue generation opportunities; with a proven track record in proactively identifying solutions to business challenges, you can work with agility to develop and implement these solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal; ability to communicate across all levels
  • Independent self-starter; able to prioritise workflows and within specific timeframes, with minimal supervision

Experience and Qualifications

  • Previous team/ line management experience
  • Experience of senior external and internal partner management and excellent negotiating skills, with a high degree of commercial competence
  • Previous experience producing and delivering inspirational presentations to bring new clients to digital out-of-home.
  • Dedication to continued career and personal development
  • Demonstrable sound computer and digital literacy and technical skills
