The Senior Marketing Communications Manager is responsible for marketing communication planning and execution across all business focus areas. This includes managing the voice of the brand and reporting across all of our channels. Channels include our in-house podcast, marketing hub, website, intranet, social media, PR, corporate communications and producing high-quality marketing content that engages our people and partners and helps build the JCDecaux UK brand.
This will include planning and implementing PR activity, liaising with internal stakeholders and managing a team to create informative content for our website, press releases, articles, and pitching for media opportunities that will showcase JCDecaux UK’s brand, products and services in line with business priorities.
What you’ll be doing...- Develop and implement an effective marketing communication strategy to drive brand awareness, awareness of the key company messages, and mission, vision and to drive customer satisfaction.
- Plan and manage a team to plan and brief content and marketing materials. Respond to communication-related requests from the press in a timely manner.
- Create a social media strategy for owned channels, manage JCDecaux UK’s online content by developing a content strategy in partnership with the Digital Marketing Manager, supported by the Marketing Communications Manager and Marketing Communications Executive.
- Support the Head of Communications to define the key marketing messages for external communications based on the key marketing programmes.
- Manage the external voice of JCDecaux as a thought leader in market, this is achieved by planning and creating informative and interesting materials including press releases, newsletters and related marketing materials or presentations according to business goals and priorities.
- Have a full understanding of the key marketing programmes, the stakeholders and the target audiences.
- Define an annual communications plan with timelines, measurable outputs and impacts and target audiences.
- Define the communications channels behind each of the key marketing programmes.
- Utilise the communications channels of PR, press, social, e-mail, sales team, search, advertising and influencers to increase knowledge and uptake of the key marketing programmes.
- Monitor input and results and report monthly to the Head of Communications on impact.
- Define a list of influencers and draw up a communications plan to gain third party endorsement of key marketing programmes.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to produce thought leadership content in support of key marketing programmes.
- Liaise with third party contributors to provide white papers, thought leadership pieces and marketing content.
- Manage content partnerships on behalf of partner landlords and transport owners.
- Deliver increased uptake of key marketing programmes.
- Ability to craft and write great pieces of communication across multiple channels.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A great understanding of the digital marketplace and the communication tools available.
- Ability to utilise the full range of communication tools and the monitoring of outputs and impacts.
- Ability to manage a team of diverse individuals in an inclusive and inspiring manner.
- Knowledge of CRM tools and funnel management would be useful.
- An organised individual that can strategically plan a communications calendar that can drive commercial success.
- Ability to engage stakeholders to buy-in across numerous teams to deliver the communications plan.
- A background in media/communications, ideally from a related industry.
- Experience in communication activation and monitoring within a media or marketing organisation.
- Experience in journalism, marketing, business or social science or relevant experience.
