Maintain tools, PPE, and vehicle cleaning equipment to high standards.
Adhere to safe systems of work and health & safety guidelines.
Manage van stock and spare parts, following booking and stock procedures.
Complete daily worksheets, requisitions, and vehicle documentation accurately.
Coordinate vehicle servicing with the transport team.
Liaise with Operations Managers on site-related issues.
Support other duties as required by the line manager.
Previous basic electrical work experience.
Familiar with digital screens, IT systems, and Microsoft Office tools.
Competent with laptops, smartphones, and mobile devices.
Understanding of WAN/LAN networks, cellular connectivity, and ADSL routers.
Mechanical aptitude and readiness for Network Rail training (provided).
IPAF & PASMA certification and MEWP experience (desirable but not essential).
Clean UK driving licence.
Comfortable with lifting duties and working at height.
Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
Responsible for van stock, spare parts, and equipment upkeep.
A high standard of personal presentation, along with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, (both written and oral).
Ability to work well and enjoy working in the constantly changing and challenging operations arena.
Proven ability to work under pressure while prioritising and meeting strict deadlines.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills - ability to break down problems into components and make systematic and rational judgements based on relevant information.
A positive "can do" enthusiastic attitude towards addressing technical challenges.
Ability to communicate and interact confidently (written and oral) with clients and senior management.
Highly organised with a proactive approach to working and solutions focused.
Must have a “Team-Player” attitude – supporting colleagues, sharing information and best practices.
Must be a self-motivated individual with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.
A flexible approach as the role involves some travel as well as working unsociable hours.
Working with Approved Service Contractors (ASC).
Strong willingness to learn.
Both literate and numerate to complete necessary reports.
Must be adaptable, committed and reliable.
Commitment to high levels of customer service.
Be prepared to work in all weather conditions.
Must be able to undertake reasonable lifting duties.
Comfortable with high level working – Working at Height within safety guidelines.
When working on site or in the warehouse must always wear a company uniform and must ensure that the correct PPE is worn when necessary.
