About the role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join JCB in a hands-on, practical role that plays a vital part in the success of our internal and external demonstration events. As a Workshop Fitter, you'll be at the heart of machine preparation-ensuring our fleet is maintained, fault-free, and presented to the highest standard. With growing demand for machine valeting and servicing, this dedicated role offers the chance to take ownership of a key area and make a real impact on how JCB machines are showcased to the world.
What does this role involve day to day?
- Service, repair and maintain our fleet of demonstration machines
- Diagnose faults using schematic drawings and carry out necessary repairs
- Valet and prepare machines to a high standard for events and demonstrations
- Order and manage replacement parts for fleet machines
- Carry out fabrication work as required to support machine readiness
This will be suited to you if…
- You have experience in plant fitting and hold an NVQ or equivalent qualification
- You're confident reading schematic drawings to diagnose faults
- You have hands-on fabrication experience and enjoy working in a practical, fast-paced environment
- You take pride in delivering consistent, high-quality work and understand the importance of preparation timelines
- You're proactive, organised and able to work independently while supporting wider demonstration activities
