About the Role:

We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented individuals to join our engineering team as Risk Assessment and FMEA Engineers, with opportunities available from Engineer to Senior Engineer level, depending on experience.

In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the reliability, safety, and quality of our vehicle systems. You’ll be responsible for conducting comprehensive risk assessments, leading FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis) activities, and applying structured problem-solving methodologies to drive continuous improvement across our product range.

What does this role involve day to day?

  • Conducting detailed FMEA analyses on vehicle systems and components to identify potential failure modes, their causes, and effects.
  • Performing comprehensive risk assessments to evaluate the severity, occurrence, and detection of potential failures.
  • Utilizing 8D problem-solving methodology to identify, analyze, and resolve system issues.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to develop and implement effective risk mitigation strategies.
  • Leading and facilitating FMEA workshops and meetings, ensuring active participation and contribution from all relevant stakeholders.
  • Document and maintain FMEA reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to engineering teams in the identification and resolution of system issues.
  • Continuously monitoring and reviewing FMEA processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in FMEA methodologies, risk assessment techniques, and problem-solving strategies.

This will be suited to you if

  • You have a Bachelor\’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field
  • You have proven experience in conducting FMEA analyses and risk assessments within the automotive industry.
  • You have strong knowledge of vehicle systems and components.
  • You have experience in 8D problem-solving methodology & experience in FMEA software tools and methodologies.
