Overview
In this role you will lead materials and production planning to ensure material availability, optimise inventory, and deliver reliable production schedules that support operational and commercial goals.
You will guide cross‑functional teams, drive KPI‑driven performance, and champion continuous improvement across planning and inventory processes.
You will also oversee the Syncron aftermarket planning tool and work closely with senior management to align planning with business objectives.

Responsibilities
- Lead and develop Materials and Production Planning teams
- Establish and monitor KPIs for inventory, supplier performance, delivery, and schedule adherence
- Drive continuous improvement across planning and inventory management
- Support MRP system development and process improvements
- Provide regular performance reporting to senior management
- Monitor aged stock, excess inventory, and obsolescence
- Develop and manage material planning strategies to ensure uninterrupted supply to production
- Manage supplier performance and delivery responsiveness
- Oversee Syncron for aftermarket planning and inventory management
- Ensure data accuracy and alignment of forecasting with demand and business objectives
- Key requirements
- Proven experience as Materials Manager, Supply Chain Manager, or Production Planning Manager
- Strong knowledge of MRP (SAP) systems and inventory management principles
- Experience managing production schedules in manufacturing
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities
- Experience leading and developing teams
- Aftermarket experience is a plus
