About the role:
As a HR Business Partner at JCB, you’ll deliver strategic and operational HR across a complex, fast‑paced environment. You’ll partner with senior leaders to align people strategies with business goals and role‑model our behaviours (Leadership, Excellence, Agility, Determination).
What does this role involve day to day:
- Lead and coach a small HR team (HR Advisors): set priorities, elevate case quality, build capability and drive consistency.
- Partner at GM level: provide expert guidance and constructive challenge; influence decisions with clear people, risk and cost views.
- Organisation effectiveness: design and embed organisation design, talent, succession and performance frameworks.
- ER leadership: oversee complex, multi‑site ER; ensure fair, timely outcomes and strengthen manager capability.
- Data‑led decisions: translate HR data and insight into actions that improve performance, safety, wellbeing and retention.
- Leadership development & change: plan and deliver programmes and change management that stick.
- One HR voice: connect business needs with the wider HR function to shape practical policies and people practices.
This will be suited to you if…
- You have proven HRBP experience in a large, fast‑paced setting, including line‑management of HR practitioners.
- You bring depth in ER, OD and performance; are confident advising senior leaders and working with unions/employee reps.
- You have a track record in org design, succession and talent; credible delivery of leadership capability uplift.
- You’re commercial, data‑savvy and hands‑on—able to move from boardroom strategy to on‑site execution.
- You’re collaborative, resilient and solutions‑focused.
