About the role: We are looking for a commercially focused and analytical Commercial Business Manager to join JCB’s Commercial Operations team. Working closely with JCB Sales Regions, Growth Teams, Regional Sales Directors and Financial Controllers, you will play a key role in ensuring our global sales teams have the commercial tools, systems, processes and insights required to achieve annual sales targets and support JCB’s long-term growth strategy. This is a varied and highly visible role that combines commercial analysis, pricing strategy, reporting, systems management and process improvement. You will be responsible for turning complex data into actionable business recommendations, helping drive profitability, improve decision-making and support sustainable growth across our global markets. Reporting to the Head of Commercial Operations, this role offers the opportunity to influence key commercial decisions and work with stakeholders across Sales, Finance, Operations and Product teams. Overseas travel may be required.
What does this role involve day to day?
- Supporting JCB Sales Regions with pricing, incentives, market support requests and other commercial activities.
- Developing, maintaining and improving commercial databases, reporting tools and business models.
- Producing analysis and insights to support sales performance, profitability and strategic decision-making.
- Working closely with Sales, Finance and Operations teams to support forecasting, budgeting and commercial planning activities.
- Improving data quality, reporting accuracy and business controls across commercial processes.
- Identifying opportunities to automate manual activities and enhance reporting capability.
- Analysing market trends, sales opportunities and pricing strategies to support profitable business growth.
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders and providing commercially sound recommendations.
- Supporting the delivery of strategic growth plans through continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancements.

- You have strong commercial awareness and can confidently analyse data to support business decisions.
- You have advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including reporting, modelling and data analysis.
- You have experience developing and maintaining databases, commercial systems or reporting tools.
- You have strong numeracy and financial analysis skills, with an understanding of pricing, profitability and forecasting.
- You are highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- You have excellent communication skills and can confidently engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- You enjoy solving problems, challenging existing processes and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- You have an understanding of the relationship between Sales, Finance, Operations and wider business functions.
- You are self-motivated, proactive and driven to deliver business results.
- You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and are willing to travel internationally when required.
