Start Date: September 2026 (typical for 36 months)

Minimum Entry Criteria: At least four GCSEs or equivalent, including Maths, English and a relevant scientific/technical subject at C/4 or above.

Unfortuantly, JCB is unable to offer visa sponsorship or immigration support for its Early Careers Schemes, either now or in the future. This includes individuals currently on sponsored visas.

The Opportunity: This 3‑year apprenticeship will equip you for a lifetime of forward‑thinking engineering work. You will gain in‑depth knowledge of how JCB machines and components are produced to time and budget constraints and learn how to ensure quality is consistent and right‑first‑time. You will also work with external suppliers to improve overall quality performance, attend daily production meetings to contain, investigate and resolve issues, and employ cutting‑edge technology to capture improvement opportunities.

What Comes Next: Applications will be reviewed against the essential criteria, and shortlisted candidates will be invited to complete online assessments in November 2025 – January 2026. Successful assessment candidates will be invited to attend in‑person Assessment Centres from January to April 2026 and will receive feedback whether successful or not. Successful applicants will enter the onboarding process, which includes a familiarisation day. The Early Careers cohort typically starts in early September.
