About the role

Be the champion for a key product line in a globally strategic business. Power Products is the latest addition to JCB Product lines and is a vital part of JCB’s global growth strategy. We’re looking for a dynamic Product Specialist to own and shape this product line, ensuring our machine offering remains competitive, profitable, and clearly positioned with a compelling “Why Buy JCB” message. This is a unique opportunity to play a central role in growing our global market share, enhancing customer satisfaction, and defining the future of energy solutions.

Responsibilities

  • You’ll work collaboratively with the Product Manager, Engineering and central Sales functions to ensure delivery of the 5 Year Plan.
  • Translating customer insight and market trends into product strategies, sales tools, and technical documentation.
  • Supporting new product roadmap, product introductions, pricing strategies and tools to maximise profitability and growth across markets.
  • Identify and lead product improvement programs optimising current portfolio.
  • Championing the standard configuration strategy, helping to rationalise complexity and streamline machine configurations, standards and options.
  • Maintaining the pricing for dealers and key accounts in our online ordering system.
  • Managing customer requests for customisations balancing a customer focus approach and profitability for the business.
  • Supporting incorporation and management of product data within our SAP system.
  • Working with marketing and sales teams to craft targeted campaigns and training materials that support sales growth and global consistency.
  • Delivering product sales training with internal and dealer sales staff.
  • Be the first point of contact for the sales team relating to technical sales information.
  • Providing global support across customer visits, product launches, exhibitions and technical enquiries.
  • Monitoring competitors and benchmarking products and propositions to maintain JCB’s competitive edge.

Qualifications

  • You have a strong understanding of power equipment in mobile or stationary applications, and a passion for customer‑led product development.
  • You’ve got demonstrable experience working with dealers, customers, or global sales teams in a product, technical, or commercial capacity.
  • You’re an excellent communicator and can translate complex technical info into clear customer propositions.
  • You have a collaborative approach, and communicate well with other functions including Engineering, Marketing, Finance and Operations and at different levels from engineers to executives.
  • You are well organised, a dedicated team player that can multitask and work well under pressure.
  • You have strong analytical skills and a commercial mindset – you enjoy turning insight into action.
  • You’re willing to travel and support customers, markets, and events around the world.
