Located within the JCB Group Logistics Team, Cheadle, we are a unique central JCB function managing warehousing and International Supply chain for all UK manufacturing business units. Up to 60 containers are managed, delivered and offloaded each day into our new state of the art Warehouse. You will be working in a fast-paced team environment liaising closely with key stakeholders of the business and the Lead Logistics Partner to ensure that the supply of materials meets the production schedule. This role offers great potential for personal development and the ability to progress your career within JCB.
What does this role involve day to day?
- You will schedule components to meet production requirements whilst maintaining minimal safety stock levels.
- You will manage risks to minimise impact on production schedule, taking follow up actions in relation to material shortages that affect production.
- You will support continuous improvement initiatives and identify areas of improvement.
- You will generate and communicate supplier material delivery schedules and forecasts to ensure they reflect requirements and meet demands.
- You will develop and maintain good relationships with suppliers and ensure demand for materials is met and deliveries made on time.
- You will resolve supplier concerns and evaluate supplier performance.
- You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and bring ideas for change.
- You will understand vessel schedules and impacts.
- You will work collaboratively with the Lead Logistics Partner.

- You have SAP experience, this is desirable, not essential.
- You have intermediate Excel skills.
- You have sound ERP/MRP understanding.
- You have strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- You have excellent attention to detail.
- You are assertive, optimistic, resilient and welcome change.
- You are results orientated and organised with the ability to plan and deliver against deadlines.
