We're seeking a Health & Safety Advisor to support Health, Safety and Environmental (HS&E) excellence at JCB World Headquarters. This role plays a vital part in ensuring a safe and compliant working environment, embedding best practice and supporting continuous improvement across site operations. As a trusted advisor, you'll work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders to strengthen HS&E governance, promote positive safety behaviours and help drive a strong safety culture throughout the business.
What does this role involve day to day:
- Delivering effective HS&E risk management, ensuring hazards are identified, risks are reduced and appropriate control measures and emergency preparedness arrangements are in place.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant health, safety and environmental legislation, JCB policies and applicable international standards.
- Monitoring HS&E performance, identifying trends and supporting the development and delivery of improvement plans.
- Identifying HS&E competency and training requirements and supporting the delivery of appropriate training across site.
- Reporting, investigating and following up on all HS&E incidents, near misses and hazard reports to ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Actively promoting and further developing a positive HS&E culture, supporting effective governance and continuous improvement across the business.
This will be suited to you if:
- You're working towards a NEBOSH Diploma or hold an equivalent relevant qualification or degree.
- You have proven experience working within a Health, Safety & Environment role at Advisor level (or similar).
- You have a strong understanding of HS&E legislation and best practice, with environmental management knowledge being beneficial.
- You're confident using IT systems and are willing to travel within the UK when required.
- You're enthusiastic, proactive and committed, with a genuine passion for continual improvement and raising HS&E standards.
