The Opportunity - Hatchery Assistant
Contract: Zero-hours, with one fixed weekly hatchery day. Additional farm work is flexible, with occasional weekend cover as required.

About the role: We’re looking for a reliable and hardworking individual to join our small but modern poultry hatchery and associated farm at JCB Farms Limited, based on the Wootton Estate near Farley. This role involves a mixture of hatchery and general farm duties, working as part of a small team where high welfare standards, cleanliness, and attention to detail are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Sorting, grading, and vaccinating chicks
- Pressure washing, cleaning, and maintaining high hygiene standards
- Bedding hen sheds and collecting eggs
- Carrying out some ground maintenance during the summer months
- Assisting with day‑to‑day farm tasks as required
