Overview of the role: To further support the growth and demands in the business, we are seeking an engineer that will be integral to the component design and release process for E&E components, development of standards and database development & maintenance.

Your Responsibilities as an Engineer – EDS Applications:

  • Authoring of JCB Standards and SOP’s for use within the Electrical design process
  • Auditing of electrical system installation both in CAD and complete machine
  • Electrical and electronic component part review and approval against business requirements
  • Control of the electrical library within the eCAD Toolchain
  • Electrical component assessment against JCB Standards
  • Creation and delivery of training material for eCAD package and associated tools
  • Managing the day to day issues as they arise ensuring prompt investigation and closure
  • Develop a close working relationship with our eCAD vendors to continually develop the toolchain for JCB

About you:

  • Educated to a minimum HND level in Electronic Engineering or Computer Science
  • Extensive experience in a wiring harness development environment for Tier 1 harness manufacturer or machine manufacturer
  • Application support and development experience in Zuken E3, Captial Harness or similar tool suites
  • Self motivated and capable of working well both alone and as a member of a team
  • Experience in automotive or off highway electrical systems
  • The ideal candidate should be a team player with a “hands on” approach to problem solving
  • You will operate and manage within a team and under your own initiative, interpreting specifications and contributing to technical discussions
  • Proven track record of multiple simultaneous project deliveries
