The Opportunity

We’re now hiring for 4 on 4 off shifts on a mix of days and nights which attracts an average OTE of £55,000-£60,000 inclusive of typical overtime and shift premiums. What does this role involve day to day?

As a Maintenance Engineer, you’ll work with cutting‑edge technology to keep our manufacturing operations running at peak performance. From troubleshooting and problem‑solving to driving continuous improvement, your role will be hands‑on and varied. You’ll maintain and optimise a wide range of advanced equipment. Some of our machinery is so specialised that your expertise may even be called upon internationally, offering exciting opportunities to travel as part of a global team. We’ve invested heavily in both technology and people. That means you’ll have access to excellent training and development opportunities, with a clear path to progress into more senior roles. This will be suited to you if…

  • You have an electrical bias and experience working with live equipment.
  • You’ve completed an Electrical Engineering Apprenticeship and hold an HNC qualification (or equivalent experience in a live maintenance environment).
  • You’re enthusiastic about learning and excited to work with the latest technology.
  • You’re passionate about how things work and how to make them better; this mindset is just as important to us as your qualifications.

We’re particularly looking for engineers with knowledge in the following areas:

  • Automated systems and equipment (Shotblasts, paint plants, overhead conveyors, assembly lines)
  • Electrical and schematic drawings
  • Low voltage fault finding
  • CNC boards, wiring, and control panels
  • PLC control systems (Siemens, Allen Bradley)
  • PLC data handling and backups
  • Safe working with single/three-phase and low voltage (12/24 v) systems
  • AC/DC motors and inverter control
  • Electrical safety circuits and components (power supplies, drives, transformers)
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic systems and schematics
