The Opportunity – Agricultural Sales Engineer
About the role
If you’re someone looking to develop your career within the JCB Agriculture Sales and Marketing department, this role could be the perfect opportunity. The position focuses on supporting the Fastrac range and plays an integral part in developing our UK agricultural business to ensure we continue to deliver strong growth. This is a field-based position and comes with a company vehicle.
What does this role involve day to day?
- Demonstrating and installing Fastrac machines to end users across a variety of applications
- Providing technical product sales support for the agricultural range to our dealers
- Developing and delivering training materials in the UK and abroad
- Compiling customer feedback to support the sales, marketing, and engineering teams
- Undertaking evaluations of competitive products
- Assisting with shows, exhibitions, and dealer events both in the UK and internationally
- Working closely with key implement manufacturers to maximise brand exposure
This will be suited to you if:
- You’re comfortable operating and have experience with the latest high-horsepower tractors in a variety of applications
- You enjoy being the first point of contact for many customers and take pride in acting as a customer ambassador
- You have strong knowledge of agricultural technology and modern farming practices, including ISOBUS and GPS steering systems
- You enjoy travel and are happy working away from home, as this is a field-based role with extensive UK travel
- You are highly motivated, practical, and confident, with excellent time management skills
- You pick up new technology quickly and communicate it effectively to dealers, customers, and operators
- You have strong working knowledge of MS Office, with excellent written and oral presentation skills
- You possess strong word processing skills and have extensive experience and knowledge of the agricultural industry
